Hong Kong is officially known as the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). Hong Kong has one of the world’s most thriving economies and is a hub for international trade and investment. Hong Kong’s sovereignty was transferred from the United Kingdom to the People’s Republic of China on July 1, 1997 under a “One Country, Two Systems” agreement. Under this agreement, Hong Kong will retain a high level of economic autonomy in all matters for the next 50 years.

Education is highly regarded and there is still a ‘thirst’ for British Education. The territory of 7.8 million people is densely populated but there is a significant amount of protected ‘green’ space to be enjoyed. There is an excellent system of trails through the hills and numerous islands of outstanding beauty. The transport system is highly efficient (and cheap), making all parts of Hong Kong and the New Territories very accessible.
